I keep an eye on the sky every night, but I also keep an eye on who is building the machines that go up there. This week brings news of that second kind.

SpaceWERX, the innovation arm of the U.S. Space Force, has selected eleven companies for its latest round of STRATFI funding, a program meant to help promising space technology move from small prototype to something the military can actually use at scale. The firms chosen are Agile Space Industries, Antares Nuclear, EO Solutions, Hydrosat, Kall Morris, Method Security, Muon Space, Scout Space, Sedaro, Star Catcher Industries, and ThinkOrbital.

This kind of funding round does not change what you see overhead tonight, but it quietly shapes which satellites and spacecraft get built in the coming years, and some of those will eventually cross skies over Asia too. For the full details on each company and what they are building, read the complete story at SpaceNews.
